Summer Schedule Update for Siloam Springs Kayak Park

Siloam Springs, May 17, 2024 -As summer approaches, outdoor enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the start of the season at Siloam Springs Kayak Park. Starting this weekend, on Saturday, May 18th, the park will commence its summer weekend schedule, complete with updated hours and parking regulations.

During weekends and holidays, the park will welcome visitors from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekend and holiday parking will be available at a rate of $10 per car. Management of weekend parking at Siloam Springs Kayak Park will be overseen by Illinois River RV Campground & Floats.

For weekday adventurers, parking will remain free from sunrise to sunset.

Travis Chaney, Parks and Recreation Manager, emphasized, "The safety of our visitors is our utmost concern." To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, visitors are reminded to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Always wear a life jacket.

2. Utilize a boat or tube when navigating through the rapids; free swimming is prohibited.

3. Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited within the park premises.

4. Avoid bringing glass bottles into the park.

5. Use of charcoal grills is not permitted.

"We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone to Siloam Springs Kayak Park for a summer season filled with safe and memorable outdoor experiences," Chaney added.
